Video game strategy guides are no longer considered a luxury in the complex world of today's video games. In fact they're now considered a definite need for somebody who wants to successfully navigate any action game. Ideally, most game player want to win a video game by their own efforts alone. With today's unbelievably challenging games, you can get some props for facing such a difficult task. Your friends will be amazed if you don't have to consult a single video game strategy guide while playing your favorite game.
Believe it or not I've been using video game cheats and strategy guides since I had the original 8-bit Nintendo. The game cheats we used back in the day were pretty dated. There were only eight buttons that you could push, so every video game cheat was a combination of up, down, left, right, b, a, select, and start. They were pretty easy to remember, and we were always trading them with our friends. We would often find one by accident.
Some of the video game makers even published video game strategy guides as well as manufacturers like Nintendo. They were really handy for video games like The Legend of Zelda. The video games would contain many riddles to decipher and adventrues that needed completing. The video game strategy guide was a real help when you got lost. These guides didn't feature cheats so much as tell how to crack the riddles.
Computer games available also need video game strategy guides too. I remember that I used to love playing the King's Quest games. Most of these games really took a guide to help you find your way through. A video game strategy guide for popular game such as this can be more than 100 pages long. They were more like books than “guides.” The games were already so elaborate that it was like reading a novel to find your way through the webwork.
And just like everything video games are becoming harder to crack making the need for more comprehensive video game strategy guides. I remember when I found the Empire Earth strategy guide a few of years ago. It was at least one hundred fifty pages long! I've heard that this is not abnormal for video game strategy guides nowadays either. Some of them are even longer. Still, I guess that's what you need to get through a tricky video game.
You've probably figured it out by now that unless you're a mental wizard on the level of Einstein you're probably going to have to invest in some video game strategy guides if you want to become successful with your favorite video games. I would suggest not using them though until you absolutely have to so as not to take away the challenge that your video game offers you. You got the video game in the first place for that main reason didn't you? Then when you absolutely need to, break out your video game strategy guide and eventually crack the code.
