How To Make DIY EMI Ties

By Margaret Olson

Fashion does not only involve clothes, hair styles is a part of it too. Example is the women, they wear fashionable clothes, shoes, and accessories to keep up with their looks. But it does not stop there, they make sure that their hairs are well done too. What you can use to make it look great are EMI ties.

EMI sells elastics that were dyed by hand and tied specially in the U. S. They are made in different colors. All the colors you could imagine might be present which is one of the reasons why many are into these. Their designs can be easily identified. The edge of the elastic has a diagonal cut on it.

There is only one problem, its price. The price is a bit expensive for just a ponytail and you might hesitate if you should really buy one or not. For those of you who would really love to have one but does not have extra money for such there is still hope for you, and that is by creating your very own ponytails.

The good thing about creating your very own ones than buying from the stores is that the cost is much cheaper but of course you need to work for it. What is best with this is you can customize it according to your liking. This is very easy to make and even children can do this with an adult supervision of course.

First, prepare the material. The reason why doing so cost lesser is due to fact that some materials are already on your house. Such as scissors for cutting and a ruler. What is left is the fold over elastic that is with the color of your choice which pretty sure you can buy in your local stores.

The only thing needed here is your will to make and you will be able to pull it off. Know that creating your own means you can do whatever you want with it, which is an advantage. So, for girls out there who wants to get one but lacks the money, follow the simple down below to have your own ponytail.

Third, measure the elastics to 10 inches or 25.4 in centimeters. Your measurement should start from the smallest end which you are going to cut diagonally. Cut the end diagonally towards the ten inches. This measurement is how long is the tie would be. So, the length is going to be around 11 inches.

Fourth, once you area satisfied with the number of elastics you have made you can then fold it in half and tie the edge into a simple knot. Make sure that you pull it out to secure the knot. And, there you have it. You have now your very own personalized EMI ponytails. That is how easy it is and is not time consuming as well.

Three, once you are satisfied with its length, find its center and fold it in half. Hold the last part which is the part where you cut diagonally and tie below that part in a knot. Viola, you have now a DIY tie. If you want another one, follow the steps provided again.
