New And Imminent Technology - Embedded Computing

Embedded computing is seen to be a technology for future. Derived from technology of integrated system it has several useful applications. Many things that we use in our daily life like mobile phones, microwaves, dishwasher and many other home appliances make use of this technology. We are surrounded by this emerging technology, but we never realized that such an extraordinary concept is working behind the thing we are using in day to day life.

Implanted computers are the computer technology used for specific purpose like controlling or monitoring large machines and devices. In addition to it, these computers perform in real time scenario, which means they respond synchronously. These systems are programmed in such a way that the user just have to do some small configuration settings in the device and then can use its related functionality. The technology is all about implanting the power into a device rather than implanting the computer physically in the device.

The future name of this technology can be integrated engineering as the researchers in this field are looking for separate status for this emerging field. Lots many concept works together to make this technology so effective. Designing system architecture, system analysis, system modelling, verification and validation process followed by possible application area.

Architectural design is the birth of any integrated system concept and it is important to develop a design that can be execute a specific applications function, protocol, signal processing and user interface. The design phase is based on the concept of software architecture, real time system theory and on hardware, software design algorithm.

Architectural design is followed by Analysis phase in which designer analyze the characteristics of software and hardware to predict the possible performance. The aspect is directly related to designing of architecture and it is important to understand the component characteristics to design a fruitful architecture.

After analyzing the system at all level of abstraction, modelling is done based on the design outcome from the system designer. This is a phase where researchers are working hard to understand the logics of creating less complicated modelling and to make the development of integrated system easier.

After modelling the last step is the verification phase in with system is check based on the systems functional and non functional requirement. The verification is done with the help of simulation software and then a large scale implementation is done based on the outcome of verification. There are many possible applications in the area like wireless, video, networking and mobile devices. Embedded computing is an emerging field and lots many things still need to be done to make it a fruitful technology of future.
