Playstation 3 80gb

The PlayStation 3 Hard Drive with 80GB Provides Users with a Compelling Gaming Experience

People who purchase a PlayStation 3 with an 80GB hard drive console are in for a unique gaming experience that can not be compared to anything else. The PlayStation 3 is the ultimate gaming console and it brings to your home entertainment in the very highest order of next generation gaming consoles that is worth paying top dollar for. Typically, you get to choose from different types of PlayStation 3 consoles and one option that you won’t want to miss out on is the PlayStation 3 with an 80GB hard drive.

Abundant Storage

The PlayStation 3 with an 80GB hard drive will give gamers more than enough storage space for all of their entertainment and gaming needs, and if you also get the free membership, you can play games online at no cost, download games, plus also stay in touch with your friends.

Among the desirable features that you get when you opt for the PlayStation3 console with an 80GB hard drive is a design that can best be described as being swanky. Its operation is silent and fast which is another advantage, and in addition, you also get high definition games, easy interface and the capability to play Blu-ray movies also in high definition.

However, the downside of owning a PlayStation 3 with an 80GB hard drive, is the fact that there are still not many options available regarding the games that you can play and if you need backward compatibility, you will need to purchase software for this purpose. Nonetheless, because the PlayStation 3 with 80GB hard drive has an enormous amount of hard disk storage space, you can play older games from PlayStation 2 and it is a great deal better than getting a poor quality console, even if you have to wait for new high definition games to become available.

Because of the fact that the PlayStation 3 suffers from the drawback of having relatively few games to play, the console did not sell as many as anticipated. Because of this you might be limited in the type of games you can play for instance: Fall of Man, WarHawk, Resistance and Heavenly Sword. Still, consider playing third-party games that are available for users such as Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty-4.

Basically if you have around $500. to put into a gaming console you should get the 80GB PlayStation3, even though you may not be able to play a few games, it is the best option, particularly if you want something that can work like a computer too.

Are Computer Games Too Violent?

The more graphic the effects, the better. All of the video game makers are now competing to get the most sales, and that forces them to use the newest technology. Sometimes characters come almost to life and the player is given so many details that most people would rather not see - like gory scenes. Places like walmart get these games off their shelves as fast as they can stock them, but it leaves some people saying that the games are too violent?

Naturally, there are two opposing sides on this question. On one hand are those who believe that the games aren’t, specifically the gamers and the developers themselves. Their reason is that discipline depends on the player and that this would determine up to what extent the influence could be. It is a battle of self-control and putting things in the right perspective. If there are gamers who are reported to be violent after a couple of hours playing, then the assumption would be the lack of discipline, and not because of the game itself.

On the other hand however, this point is the same argument as those who believe that video games are too violent. This strong emotion is triggered by the hard core action and realistic effects that some have difficulty detaching their selves from it. Reality can only be shown as how things are, while it is sometimes exagerated, it really need to be based on real life.

Both sides do have a valid point, although this still does not answer the question whether video games are violent or not. The debate could possiably go on forever, but there are many ways that games can do this without retaining any effects. To start our everyone should pick a upper limit for how much they will play games daily. Games like this target people who have a hard time drawing a line between reality and the game world. Sticking to a regement will help you learn discipline.

Secondly is to know when enough is enough. When you find yourself overly invested in the death of a in game character take a deep breath. It has the dual effect of clearing your mind and normalizing the gamers body after an adrenaline surge. Third is for parents, who are allowing their kids to play video games. At a young age, discipline should already be imbibed at this crucial formative stage. Once a child has been affected then the effects are hard to remove, so parents need to be vigilant. If you want a game that is fun and not overly violent then you should think about buy legend of zelda namely buy ocarina of time.

Being objective can be hard when you are talking about violence and tech as there are many opinions. What can be said for certain is that you need to understand video games to determine if they are too violent.

The Easy Way to Remove Startup Programs

Perhaps you have been stumped by your Windows computer starting up very slowly? Over time, you may have downloaded numerous applications that attempt to load themselves when your PC starts up.Software for firewalls or antivirus are needed, but often when you load free or trial versions of some programs, they come with additions you are not made aware of. Trouble begins when these programs load into the memory all at once at start-up.

So here we will deal with how to remove unnecessary programs from your computer registry to free space in your harddrive and improve computer start-up performance. If you bought your computer 'fully loaded' from a computer store like Circuit City, Best Buy, Office Depot, or Staples, chances are you would have experienced slow start-up right from the beginning. Such computer stores usually bundle in many software that may include management tools, CD-writers, games, image editing and others you may or may not want at all.

The simplest way to begin pruning your start up programs is by visiting your Control Panel. You can find the Control Panel under the Start menu on the lower left of your screen. When the Control Panel opens, you can then click on the Add/Remove Programs sub-menu. It may surprise you how long this list actually is. There may even be programs here that you don't recognize.List down those programs you need or may want to use later, then review the rest for probable deletion.

You may safely remove programs from your Start up folder, but delete programs from the Registry very carefully, doing so only as last resort. The safest and easiest way to do this would be to use a program called Registry Easy.Registry Easy can be used with all Windows versions, up to the Vista series.Registry Easy cleans up the computer by scanning it and eliminating unnecessary entries that may be the causes of start up delays, freezes and slow performance. The program's features and their beneficial use to you may be explored in this Registry Easy review.

Scanning can be set to either manual or automatic mode, so you control Registry Easy's actions. It can also reset Internet Explorer to its original default form, removing what you might have added on inadvertently or intentionally after using it for sometime. If you change your mind, or inadvertently removed a program, Registry Easy has the back-up feature that can restore it.

Registry repair for Beginners

Registry repair is an essential Windows maintenance process because all software, hardware, and user preference information is stored within your registry. Data in your registry is stored in a tree-like, hierarchal structure made up of keys, subkeys and their values.

You need to carry out registry repair when the registry gets clogged up with lots of un-needed keys and values that clutter it up and cause registry bloating. A bloated registry gets easily damaged and creates many errors on your PC.

Registry repair is essential in the following contexts:

  • You need to regularly perform registry repair if you frequently install and uninstall programs from your system.
  • Registry repair is crucial if an incorrect method is used to uninstall one or more pieces of software from your PC.
  • If virus or spyware is found on your computer, perform registry repair to weed out any malicious and infected entries from it.
  • You must carry out registry repair if your PC crashes, in order to repair any corrupt entries caused as a result of the crash.
  • It is wise to carry out registry repair after you remove faulty software, a faulty device or device driver from your PC because faulty software and hardware can cause damage to your registry.

A registry repair method for beginners

Windows computers are equipped with the Registry Editor (regedit) utility that enables users to perform a certain level of registry repair. However, this utility is not easy to use and any user mistakes can cause major problems with your PC.

This is why most industry gurus recommend using efficient and reliable registry repair tools. There are several registry repair tools available on the Internet, and you can search for and download a registry repair tool that meets your requirement from the Web. Some of the essential features that you must look for in your registry repair tool are:

  • The registry repair tool you choose must be compatible with your Windows operating system.
  • The registry repair tool should use smart and intelligent scanning techniques to report genuine problems as errors.
  • For better understanding, the registry repair software should report errors based on their severity level.
  • The registry repair software must offer facilities like registry defrag and registry back-up.
  • If your registry repair software includes optional features like a Start-up Manager, Temporary files manager and BHO manager, it is an extra advantage.

It is recommended that you first download and use the trial version of the registry repair tool you want to choose, and then buy it only when you are satisfied with its efficiency.

How to use a registry repair tool

Scan and repair is the most essential task performed by a registry repair tool. However, before starting scan and registry repair, use your tool to backup the registry. A registry repair program will carry this out automatically before repairing your registry. If your registry repair tool does not automatically back up the registry, perform a manual backup using the backup and repair option of your registry repair tool.

Next, use the Scan option to scan the registry. After the scan is complete, all errors will be displayed on the screen. Most of the good registry repair tools enable you to automatically repair the detected errors. This facility is ideal for newbies who are not well-versed with the registry. Advanced users can go through all the detected errors, and perform registry repair on selected errors only.

Looking After A LCD Monitor

The most up-to-date monitors to storm the marketplace are the super slim LCD’s and Flat Panel Monitors. As tempting as LCD monitors are to customers, not all individuals are aware of the positives and negatives of owning one or how to suitably care for them.

As a matter of fact, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is a much more sensitive interface as opposed to the Cathode Ray Tubes which are outdated now. (CRT) and they are not able to take the same abuse as the CRT terminals might be able to.

Anti-Reflection Film.

LCD monitors have an anti-reflection coating of clear film that is damaged easily by ammonia-based cleaner. Using paper tissues or other wood-based product to clean a LCD monitor can damage it so that it looks cloudy and blurred.

Clean your LCD monitor with accepted cleaners only, and wiping with Pledge and paper tissues could damage it. For the best outcome, turn the monitor off, and then apply wet. (water only) when cleaning your monitor, be sure to use a lint free cloth.Using water directly to the screen is not advised because water can cause still more damage if it gets inside your LCD screen.

Screen savers help prevent damage to your monitors when not in use. An average LCD Monitor consist of a metal grid that charges a pixel to allow the desired color to be displayed.  LCD monitors are made of plastic which are subject to ghost images when left with one image for too long due to 'burn-in'. Even though it won't cause lasting damage, you should still steer clear of it.

Finally, it is absolutely forbidden to touch your LCD monitor with your bare hands as the pressure applied on the screen will cause damage to the delicate pixels and that in turn would make that pixel turn black and not work.

Images and graphics created on the computer are displayed on its monitor. The best way to do it is selecting the best from several options. Ensure taking good care of your new acquisition, once you have decided on the type of monitor you want.

Connecting Home PC's

cheap laptop computers

Have you ever thought about networking your cheap laptop computers at home? If you have a small collection of computers around the house (and a small collection of computer users), you can connect each one of those computers to one another and share data, software, and hardware including a single Internet connection. There are many creative uses for home networking, however it's an ideal situation when upgrading each computer to the same capability is financially out of the question. On a home network, each computer has access to the equipment of the better machine in the group as if that equipment were their own.

Connecting computers with either an Ethernet cable or a Wireless connection can create a home network. The easiest and cheapest method uses an Ethernet connection, which requires a series of network cards, a cable for each computer, and a router. The network card is similar to the old modems we used in the past to connect to the Internet, however in a home network, it's used to communicate with every computer that's connected to it.

You'll want to first, select the computers that will connect to each other and then install the network cards inside each of them. Then you'll connect a cable to each colored laptop computers that will communicate with the server. These cables won't connect to the server directly. Instead, they'll connect to the router. To enable Internet access for each computer, this router will need to connect with a modem of the host machine.

Once the hardware is set up correctly (you'll need to read the instruction manual of your equipment for details), you can then setup the network from Windows on each machine. Within Windows, you can set up a home network similar to the way that you set up an Internet connection. Only this time, you'll set up a LAN (Local Area Network) connection.

Once Windows assists you to setup the LAN, you then may integrate one of your machines into the network. You can do this through Internet Explorer by typing in the address and password required to access the router (the address and password required to access the router will be in the router manual).

Connected to the network, each computer can send files back and forth, open programs on a remote computer, play the sound files and videos located on another computer, and share a single Internet account to browse the web, download files, or chat with someone in an entirely different country.  If a single printer is available on only one computer in the network, every connected PC can send documents to it and print them out. Kids will enjoy the ability to play multi-player games and adults will enjoy the ability to blast a single message to everyone at once or maintain a group schedule.

It's really advisable at this point to install a firewall application to combat worms, viruses and hacking attempts. Firewalls prevent - but they don't repair. The damage can be reversed by anti-virus or anti-spyware applications. Install a firewall granting access to the PC, afterwards install anti-spyware and anti-virus software apps on the remaining computers on the network.

If you have files that shouldn't be shared (bank statements, credit card information, etc.), you can restrict their access in one of several ways. You can put them in a new folder and then remove the "read" permissions for that folder. You can also dictate on who can access files with a protected password from the Control Panel within Windows.
